A Texas woman was arrested on felony fraud charges and sentenced to 10 years in prison on Wednesday after pleading guilty to her role in a scheme to defraud car rental companies.
In November, Kelli Lynn Lattin was arrested after a complaint from the Texas Department of Insurance that she had attempted to defrauded car rental agencies and failed to report income, according to a statement from the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office.
Lattin had been the chief executive officer of Lattins Cars &Rides, Inc., an insurance company, for the past three years.
She was arrested at her home in the Dallas suburb of Dallas.
Lettin was indicted on two counts of mail and wire fraud.
She pleaded guilty in May and was sentenced to eight years in federal prison.
