Which players can help the Falcons?
The Atlanta Falcons are looking for help at receiver, which is why they have targeted Austin Hooper.
It will be a challenge, but the Falcons are open to adding a wide receiver, according to league sources.
Hooper has been a steady contributor for the team and has played well enough to be considered a likely option.
The Falcons also are in the market for help on defense, but they are unlikely to pursue a free agent, sources said.
Hoopers career numbers of 687 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions are in line with what we’ve seen in recent years.
He is a reliable option for a wideout.
It was reported earlier in the week that the Falcons were considering a deal for tight end Greg Olsen, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
The 28-year-old Olsen has a career 4,527 yards receiving, including 4,632 in 2016.
He’s coming off a season in which he had just three catches for 18 yards.
If the Falcons can add another wide receiver and a quarterback, they could have a very formidable offensive line.
That will be crucial.
There are some areas of need, but a big step forward from last season.
