A car rental company in Boise, Idaho is selling a car to a car rental agency in Colorado that has been in business since 2011.
Car rental company Avanto has just announced a deal with Colorado-based car rental firm CarHopper to lease a 2015 Jeep Cherokee SE.
CarHoppers fleet includes a Jeep Cherokee and two SUVs.
It’ll be the first time CarHopping has been on the market in Boise since 2011, when it acquired an SUV business in Boise for $3.9 million.
CarHopper’s Jeep Cherokee is the first car to be offered through the company, which was founded by Boise-based Chris Hinkle and Dan Schmitz in 2012.
Hinkle told The Verge that CarHoopers goal is to “help you get your vehicle back in good condition,” but it’s not clear how that will be achieved.
The Cherokee has a 4.6-liter engine and can tow a total of about 150 pounds.
Car Hoppers leasing company will have access to the Cherokee’s navigation and parking sensors, and the company will lease the vehicle for a minimum of a year.
Hinklens Jeep Cherokee leasing company declined to comment.
The car is a brand-new, 2018 Jeep Cherokee.
Carhoppers also offers a fleet of similarly priced SUVs, which it describes as “uniquely engineered for business.”
CarHopped, which launched in the summer of 2017, has a fleet that includes a 2015 Ford Escape and an 2017 Toyota Sequoia.
CarHOppers says it plans to lease out more SUVs and vehicles in the future.
Hodge said he is “excited” to work with CarHooper, which is headquartered in Boise.
“This is a great fit for our team,” Hinkle said.
“They have a proven track record in the business, and I’m confident they’ll do a great job of bringing us success.”
